He sat on her couch, in her house, a bandage on his leg, which she also forced him to put an ice pack on.
She came into the room with a tray, two tea cups on it. She sat down, and then took a sip of her tea.
He didn't really take a sip. He wasn't that thirsty, and honestly, he was scared. Why? Well, I mean, this girl who you thought was nice pulls you by your injured leg inside her house to have some tea. For all he knew, the tea could be poisoned.

"Hi there!" she would always say when she passed by, and she normally would. Her house was about two blocks away… But this wasn't the best place to live. How was she always so… happy, and kind, even? He always had a cut or a bruise at some point because some guy randomly hit him for no reason.
When somebody walked down the alley he stayed in, they'd either stare at him or just rant, or maybe even hit him.
Nobody ever greeted him nicely. Only she did.

He never knew his parents; they died before he could even open his eyes. He's been adopted twice. Why twice, then? Well, his first adopted family got murdered the first couple days he knew them, and his second family abused him harshly.
He never knew what love felt like.
And, actually, his first family got him when he was ten, and he was at the orphanage for as long as he could remember. Problem was that everyone just found him… creepy, depressed, or unsocial.
